YETI: HUNGRY LIFE

Making food part of every adventure is Chef Eduardo Garcia’s mission. With fellow chef Ranga Perera, they create a most-enviable meal on the banks of the Yellowstone River with a few found ingredients, a hand-constructed oven, and time to fish – a rarity in itself. Pour yourself a whiskey sour muddled with charred pine and check out the film.

Alongside long time collaborator, Barret Bowman, we developed the Hungry Life series with Eduardo and the Montana Mex team, and Yeti’s head of production, Scott Ballew.

After making the pilot episode, Yellowstone River, in collaboration with Montana-based Wild Vision Films, we went on to produce Southern Yucatan, while Farm League and the Malloys helmed Lanai and Laguna Madre, and Eduardo directed Big Sky Country.

How do we make it
Special?

When it came time for us to ask this question of how do we make it special, much of the conversation centered around presence.  How do we make an audience feel like they are there with Eduardo on these adventures….and how do we make them want to go back so badly that they might do it on their own?

For us, audience responses like these are our data, our metrics, and our driving force.

“This may be the most bad ass short film I've seen. Sucks you in for 7 minutes and makes you feel like you're there with them.”

“This is one of my favorite series that y'all have put out. The overall story and videography makes it insane.”

“Yeti, you guys are killing it with this content!! Chef Eduardo and Ranga make a great team. I fish a ton down here in the Lower Laguna Madre and some of the meals he preps in this mini series have really opened up my mind to what some of us locals should be doing with our natural resources. Keep up the great work!!

“Awesome, awesome, awesome video. So much passion, how can you not love this???”

“Those 19 people who dislike this video are going to hell lol....how can you dislike these 2 amazing guys????”

“If this doesn't get you fired up to go hiking in the woods and forage something (hopefully edible) and build a fire, IDK what can”.

“Wow this is so cool! It's 2022 and I just saw this, very inspiring, great edit.”

“I am speechless, this was absolutely captivating to watch. The passion and intensity was well felt and displayed.”

“Amazing video, amazing life, an amazing place. You captured something special. Another great one from Yeti!”

“This is probably my favorite yeti series. I've never felt so inspired to go outside and cook.”

“The best commercial I’ve ever seen”
